- Make and maintain a huge list. Get a spiral notebook for this project because you will be doing it your whole career. Do not do another thing until you have 100 people on this list. This should take you less than an hour initially. But, you need to spend 5 minutes a day adding to it. Carry it with you, since names will pop into your head all times during the day and you will not want to forget.

- Stay plugged in to all of your company’s teleconferences and meetings. Put them in your calendar and arrange your time around them – this builds your belief and belief builds your business. I talked to one Network Marketing Phenom who told me she never missed any live event within 4 hours of her home.
- Actively engage in your business everyday, especially when first building your business. You need to build a foundation of consistency for yourself so that you create the right habits. Find times during each of your days that will work for you then schedule them and stick to your schedule.
- Pick up the phone and use it. You cannot succeed if you do not add people to your business. Your business will not grow if you do not ask people to take a look at it.
- Respect and expect the numbers. Based on any sales model, only 10% of the people who you come in contact with will have any interest in your product or service. Only about 2% are going to be ready to buy. Do not discount the other 90-98% of the people you talk to. What is important to you is not always important to others. Be kind, understanding and ask them if it is okay if you check back with them in a while to let them know how you are doing. A great percentage of them will come around “someday” and you will want to be there when they do, without looking over a burnt bridge.
