Everywhere you turn, you see articles giving you life coaching tips to help with stress management, but very few include the potent pair: which is spirituality and stress management together.
If you want to effectively alleviate stress in every area of your life you have to first get straight with your spirituality.
And I am not talking about your religion or your religious activities. I am talking about your personal relationship with your belief in yourself and your Higher Power.
You are put on this earth for a purpose and your purpose is tied directly to things you are passionate about in your life. One great way to reduce stress in your life is to use your passion to connect in a positive way with other people. Through these interactions, you will have a greater bond with your God and your trust and your faith will grow making you happier.
Where happiness lives stress cannot. Stress manifests itself in your life when you are doing things that are incongruent with your passion.
You have examples of this in your own life. If you take a minute to think about it, I am sure you will find that your biggest stressor will be something that conflicts with your passions, which causes you frustration, which leads to increased stress.
Why do you think that meditation is considered to be one of the best stress relievers?
It is because it allows you to connect with yourself and your Higher Power. It is not just my opinion, there are endless studies showing the positive stress-reducing effects of meditation.
Meditation is an amazing way to get in better touch with your passion as well. I have talked to many people who have had life changing mental breakthroughs while meditating. The process allows for development of your intuition, which is believed to be a link to your Higher Power.
Great thinkers of our time are in support of this belief. You can read anything from the Dalai Lama to Dr. Wayne Dyer and you will find advice about meditation and stress relief. Even Einstein, who sat in deep contemplation or meditation for hours each day, said “The only real valuable thing is intuition”.
Developing your intuition is vital for you to live your life through your passion and to reduce stress in your life.
